Blades of AnarionThe next edition of the Anárion Blog has been posted! This time part of the Postcard series focusing on the Barrow-downs:

The Barrow-downs are undoubtedly a place of mystery and evil- however It was not always as such, and its role in history, was so much more!

Throughout the ages the Barrow-downs were long used as a burial ground by Men, however our story begins just over 2,000 years ago when the Kingdom of Arnor, which spanned the entire region of Eriador, split up into three distinct kingdoms after the fall of Eärendur, the final King of Arnor. Each of the fallen King’s sons staked a claim to the throne and in order to prevent civil war, the land was divided- Arthedain to the east, Cardolan to the south, and Rhudaur to the north.

Blades of AnarionFor many months we have kicked around the idea of having a regular newsletter published for the kinship, and with the introduction of MyLOTRO it seemed like the perfect venue for this endevour. So we are proud to present to you, the very first post in the "Anarion Newsletter Blog":

And so it is, that we set out upon this journey together, through the land of Middle-Earth, during her darkest hour. But rejoice in the knowledge that you do not take this path alone, for you are a Blade of Anárion, and that in itself is worth plenty!

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne.

This marks the inaugural post of the Anárion Newsletter/Blog, and we are pleased to have you along for the ride. We shall cover many topics during our adventurous, and I am sure some of those will be undoubtedly of interest to you!

So please join us as we discuss topics such as: Warfront; what is happening within the Ettenmoors- from both sides of the fence. Postcards, where we take you into the depths of the places we all know and love throughout Middle-Earth. Touch of Class, one of your own will talk about what they love about the class they have chosen. Lore, let us learn where we have come from, how we got here and perhaps, where we are going. Plus so much more. So let this adventure begin!

Future blog posts will be summarized here, while you may view them in their entirety at our MyLOTRO site: http://my.lotro.com/kinship-landroval-blades_of_anarion/

Bothered by the lack of resources in Moria? Over on the official forums Scenario, one of the devs, had the following to say:

Upon the launch of the Mines of Moria, several sections of Moria-proper had no or reduced landscape resource spawns available. We wanted to encourage players to move through the areas they were completing content in as opposed to lingering and a presence of resource nodes in certain areas would just encourage that additional weight on our servers.

With Patch 1, we felt enough time had passed for land-rush to be considered over and enabled resource nodes in those sections of Moria that did not have them as well as increased the density of certain resource types in already resource-populated areas.
